Summer Pop Up Sale: August 7th, 2021.
The NanGo Grannies held a pop-up craft, baking and fabric sale in the parking lot of St. Paul's Church, 100 Chapel Street, on Saturday, August 7th, 2021.
All proceeds went to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. The NanGo Grannies have been supporting grandmothers in Africa through the Stephen Lewis Foundation since 2006, and have raised over $100,000 for the Foundation's work with African grandmothers and their grandchildren.
Gogo is the Zulu word for grandmother. NanGo is the name for our Nanaimo grandmothers (and grand-others) group.
We appreciated your support!
In addition to our hand made fabric crafts (aprons, kitchen accessories, travel bags), we sold gourmet cookies and jams. There was a large selection of quilting and specialty fabric for sale, which we normally offer at our annual giant fabric sale, which has not been held for the last two years. There was something for everyone!
